UF25 will be taking place in the wonderful city of Łódź, Poland.
Łódź, located in central Poland, is the country’s third-largest city. Historically known for its robust textile industry, Łódź has undergone a significant transformation in recent years – now it’s a vital cultural and industrial hub!
The city boasts a rich architectural heritage, with a blend of 19th-century industrial buildings and modern structures. One key attraction is Manufaktura, a sprawling shopping and leisure complex housed in a former textile factory. Another is Piotrkowska Street, one of the longest commercial thoroughfares in Europe.
In terms of urban sustainability, Łódź stands out for its innovative approaches to revitalising industrial spaces and integrating green infrastructure. The city’s commitment to sustainable development is evident in projects like the revitalisation of Księży Młyn, an old industrial area now transformed into a vibrant residential and cultural district.
