From 25 to 26 November 2025, the SIRCULAR consortium met in Athens for its third General Assembly, which was hosted by the Hellenic Passive House Institute at the Institut français de Grèce. During the two-day event, partners reviewed progress, explored emerging challenges, and strengthened cooperation as the project enters its next phase.
On the first day, discussions focused on completed and ongoing work packages, with partners presenting recent achievements and examining opportunities for deeper collaboration. Interactive sessions helped to identify synergies between tasks, thereby reinforcing the project’s collective approach to advancing circularity and decarbonisation in the built environment.
On the second day, particular emphasis was placed on the development of SIRCULAR’s digital tools and the progress made across the four demonstration sites. These exchanges enabled the consortium to refine its technical direction and outline forthcoming implementation steps.
Beyond the formal sessions, the gathering also offered participants the opportunity to experience the city. A short hike up Lykavittos Hill treated participants to panoramic views of Athens, and an evening social dinner introduced them to traditional Greek cuisine, providing a relaxed setting in which to strengthen professional ties.
The consortium would like to thank the Hellenic Passive House Institute for their excellent organisation and warm hospitality. With renewed motivation and a shared vision, the partners will continue their joint efforts to advance sustainable and circular solutions in the construction sector.
