ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability is a global network of more than 2500 local and regional governments committed to sustainable urban development and is active in 125+ countries. ICLEI Europe supports local governments in implementing the European Green Deal, the overarching EU strategy for climate neutrality, to build more resilient and equitable communities.
Role: Replicating / involving cities / engaging local value chain
ICLEI plays a role in supporting digital tools and marketplace development by ensuring that local authorities’ needs are embedded. ICLEI will also support the creation of innovative and non-standard contract framework, utilizing unique procurement approaches. As a network, ICLEI is instrumental in the dissemination and communication of project outcomes, especially by replicating successful results in other cities. Specifically, ICLEI will facilitate a series of workshops aimed at disseminating the project outcomes to a group of pioneer cities engaged in circular construction, promoting widespread adoption and implementation of best practices.
